This week I had a High School Gymnastics meet and The Maryland State Championships, for USAG Club Gymnastics.
Madison won the Outstanding Gymnast Award. (Each gym submitted one girl who has shown dedication and leadership qualities. The coaches and gymnast submit essays). It was pretty neat to get selected out of all the gyms!
Our girl's did great for their first year at Win Win Gymnastics. There were about 40 teams throughout the weekend competing. All the teams are placed in divisions. We were in the small teams division. There were 17 teams and we placed 6th. The girl's placed in their various age groups.
Maggie took 1st place on bars and was 3rd place in the all-around. Megan took 1st on beam.
I'm very proud of the gymnasts at Arundel High School! The girl's team average last season was a 73.1. We have made huge improvements and as a team our goal was to break a 100 by the end of this season. This past Wednesday we scored a 101.9!! We have one more home meet and then the County Championships.! The boys are undefeated so far this season. Go WildCats!!
